The Scotch Bay Stroll

  • Milford Haven: Also known as Aberdaugleddau in Welsh, Milford Haven is a historic coastal town situated on the north side of the Milford Haven waterway. This estuary has been used as a port since the Middle Ages. Over time, it has welcomed invaders, crusaders, sea merchants, admirals, pirates, and global energy leaders. Milford Marina, which is a short walk from Haven View, offers a variety of bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops. It’s advisable to book restaurants in advance, especially during weekends and the summer months.

  • Beaches: Acres and acres of golden sands backed by dunes like Freshwater West and Broad Haven south or a small, secluded rocky cove, such a Cwm yr Eglwys, perfect for rock-pooling?
Protected by their National Park status Pembrokeshire’s beaches have some of the cleanest waters and sands with many awards to show for it; Blue Flags and Green Coast awards! That makes Pembrokeshire beaches some of the best in Wales.  Click here to view an interactive map of all the Pembrokeshire beaches.

  • Dog Walking:  right outside the cottage is a large coastal park "The Rath", with beautiful view of the sea.  Its ideal for dog walking or a morning stroll down to the marina.
